About Bramhall Physio

Bramhall Physio was established in 2013 by physiotherapist and practice owner Alison Sloan. The practice has now grown to employ 3 other physiotherapists, all of whom have more than 10 years’ experience of working within the NHS and in a private practice. Alongside their extensive experience, they are also registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

At Bramhall Physio, we specialise in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal problems, ranging from sporting injuries and post operative rehabilitation, to chronic longstanding conditions. Our physios have more than 40 years combined experience, and use their extensive skills and knowledge to deliver individual solutions for your problem.

Meet the Team

Alison Sloan

Alison graduated from Salford University with a first-class honours degree in physiotherapy. She worked in the NHS for many years before moving into the private sector, working for a large, private medical provider and managing a complex case load, of occupational and sporting injuries. During her time there, she gained a wealth of experience, treating numerous conditions and working closely with GPs, Orthopaedic Consultants, Radiographers, and Podiatrists.

Alison has studied with the Mackenzie Institute and is currently studying at postgraduate level in Orthopaedic Medicine. She says, “I am passionate about helping people regain normal, pain-free movement and I'm excited to see them return to sports and an active life"

Jo Fawcett

Jo qualified with a first-class BSc honours degree in physiotherapy in 2002. Upon graduating, she commenced work within the NHS, where she continues to work as an extended scope practitioner within the orthopaedic clinic, paying special interest to knees and shoulders. Jo has also worked in the private sector since 2004. She has completed her acupuncture training, which is accredited by the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP), as well as achieving a diploma in orthopaedic medicine and injection therapy.

Jo plays an active role in her continuing professional development to ensure she keeps up to date with relevant advances. She has been trained in most aspects of dance, and over the years has taught, choreographed, and performed in various dance troops and sporting events.

Lucie Winstanley

Lucie qualified in 1998 and worked for many years in the NHS, completing all her core rotations before taking the position of extended scope practitioner, working alongside the spinal consultants in their clinics.
